Sessional Pay Disparity
At CUE, the standard for sessional pay with PhD is (for now) $2038/credit = $6114/3-credit course. [It is important to note that this will rise a bit in 2022-2023, but not significantly.]
Many of CUE's sessional instructors also teach as sessionals at other local institutions. These sessionals have informed us that are paid 30% more to teach the exact same course at Macewan University, and 50% more to teach the same course at the University of Alberta. There is no course, to our knowledge, at these other places that pays less that $7000/ per 3 hours contact time/week with students (equivalent to a 3-credit course)
